Celebrating Mom While Supporting Local
I’m all about supporting our local NYC artisans and businesses no matter the circumstance but it’s especially important we do so right now. The COVID pandemic has brought uncertainty and heartache for many on a personal level and for so many more professionally.
This Mother’s Day, I’m going to encourage everyone to do what my mom has always done her best to instill in me: “do the right thing.” It’s a simple statement and the consequent actions were sometimes harder to follow through on than others but this one seems like a no-brainer. As I celebrate the woman who put the meals on my table, I’m going to do my part in helping my fellow New Yorkers continue to do that for their families. A small purchase right now can go a long way.
So, join me in buying a Mother’s Day gift that will mean something to so many more other than mom – trust me, it’ll make her proud and that’s a gift in itself. I’ve put together this list to get you started!
