Scholars have long debated the presence of sexism in Shakespeare’s comedy “The Taming of the Shrew,” though
the show is no less beloved for it. Tackling the issue head-on, director Phyllida Lloyd has assembled an all-female, all-star cast for her summer production of the classic. Tickets for this groundbreaking show are free in person at Central Park’s open-air Delacorte Theater, and can also be picked up via in- person lottery at The Public Theater’s Astor Place location (425 Lafayette St.) and online, with shows nearly daily through 6/26.
